Faou - Guipavas

March 1 to 5, 2023

Meeting with Mr. Labat – Cactuseraie

DAY 25

1st of March. My subscription to France Passion starts today.
I seem to have mentioned it but just in case... I decided to take out a France Passion subscription (a little over 30 euros per year) which allows me to stay for free with winegrowers, breeders and others...

I really like this idea because it allows meetings and exchanges. Everything I love about my trip.

Well for a first day of a first subscription, I was more than surprised to discover that a few kms from Faou was a cactus plantation...

Cactus in Finistère!? I really had to find this out...

GUIPAVAS CACTUSERAIE 12

And what a wonderful discovery!

I was amazed in front of the LABAT brothers' greenhouse… Absolutely beautiful. More than 3,000 species of cactus and other succulents from all over the world, some of which were raised by his two enthusiasts.

GUIPAVAS CACTUSERAIE 19

A delight for the eyes ! You can stroll in the middle of the aisles, everything is magnificent!
If you want to leave with a small or large cactus, you will certainly find the species of your dreams!

More information about the cactus garden: Creismeas cactus garden

Fascinated by their talent, I didn't hesitate to ask that one of them grant me an interview...

I warmly thank Pierre-Henri for giving me his time

I didn't know where to turn…And I spent several days photographing the greenhouse… A delight!
