Saint-Nic-Roscanvel
February 25, 2023DAY 21
This morning, head for the Fort de la Fraternité in Roscanvel.
On the peninsula of Crozon, it is not less than 150 works that we will be able to cross. Essentially built by Vauban, these fortifications are often remarkable for their state of preservation.
Opposite the Fort de la Fraternité, I'm more attracted by the Ilot du Diable!
– The Devil's Island-
On the site of an old battery, an electric casemate-projector with its power plant was built in 1890, then a blockhouse in 1942 by the Nazis.

Despite very dense vegetation, I managed to climb the bunker to admire the steep rocks on which the Fort de la Fraternité had been built.
All the planets were aligned to indulge in my favorite photography, the long exposure.

PHOTO TIP
Long Pose & Equipment needed:
As its name suggests, a long exposure means leaving your shutter open for a very long time. This has the effect of letting in a lot more light.
Thanks to this, moving subjects can give us impressions of trail, or disappear. Water smoothes and many other possible effects.
MATERIAL :
A tripod worthy of the name that does not move in the slightest gust of wind.
A self-timer: to avoid touching your camera when you open and close the shutter
ND filters: during the day there is a lot of light. We have to 'delude' our camera and make it believe that there are far fewer so that the shutter stays open longer. We use ND filters which cut the light.
